Abstract: This research investigates the impact of global trends on vocational curriculum adaptation in Nigeria, examining the influences of technological advancements, industry shifts, and international educational developments on shaping vocational education programs and preparing students for global workforce demands. Global trends such as digitalization, sustainability practices, and skills alignment with emerging industries increasingly influence vocational curriculum design and delivery strategies. The study aims to (1) analyze key global trends impacting vocational education in Nigeria, (2) assess strategies and approaches for integrating global trends into vocational curriculum adaptation, and (3) propose recommendations for enhancing curriculum responsiveness and relevance to global workforce needs. A survey research design is employed to gather insights from educational leaders, industry experts, and policymakers familiar with global trends and curriculum adaptation strategies. A sample size of 400 participants will be chosen through purposive sampling to represent curriculum developers, industry leaders, and educational policymakers in Cross River State. Case studies will examine successful initiatives in integrating global trends into vocational education and their outcomes in preparing students for international career pathways. Findings indicated positive impacts of global trend integration on curriculum relevance and student employability, identified challenges such as curriculum updating gaps and resource limitations, and highlighted the role of industry partnerships and continuous professional development in enhancing curriculum adaptation. Recommendations include fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, leveraging technology for curriculum innovation, and aligning vocational education with global skills demands to ensure graduates are equipped to thrive in the evolving global economy.
